This museum has a good representation of WW1 militaria with explanations of the equipment and how they are used. The grounds with its monuments is also well done.
A hidden gem in Boalsburg, PA. Originally dedicated to the "Fighting 28th Division, USA, the museum hopes to soon open its collection to all service branches. The docents can answer just about anything about a frontline soldier's life behind the line. Showing articles from mostly the First, Second and Korean wars, the extensive collection is in tip top condition. The vast outside acreage is dotted with memorials to fallen comrades, as well as tanks, large bore guns, and vehicles.
they do lots of great events here too, everything is well organized and easy-to-access.
great place to go on a flat walk/bike ride/skating/cross-country skiing if the conditions are right.
